We had a great experience to stay in Sunwise villa. Elyse and Christiaan were extremely helpful and supportive. Villa itself was very comfortable, the floor design and equipment (kitchen, bedrooms, living area and patio/pool) created the true vacation atmosphere. Next year we would be happy to book this place again.

The property manager Christiaan was excellent

The property manager Christiaan was excellent and super helpful with tips on the local spots, convenient to northern end dive spots but also convenient to town Van Den Tweel grocery was our go to. Used dive friends Bonaire unlimited tanks and had a lovely trip. The house had everyone comfortable with in room AC mini split units that can make it cold if you want but opened up the upstairs was beautiful we loved it. Trip would not have been complete without this beautiful and comfortable house. Bring some bug spray but other than that very cool end of the island feel next to a large natural area. The best we have stayed at

We have stayed in many places in Bonaire, this was the best we have stayed at.
Why?
Truly ocean front and views north south and west. ( many apartments are ocean front but only with direct view because north and south are blocked by adjoining patio walls. )
Patio with open to sky space AND covered / shaded area. ( many apartments have no open to sky patios only shaded.)
Can see sun set ( some apartments near the airport and others don’t give you sun set view.)
Great access to water from pier
Great sanded area with loungers, access to gear locker and outside showers.
completely updated. Steps to food, shops, pharmacy dive center.
The restaurant below is not at all noisy
Bonaire is growing quickly , next to this apartment there will be no future construction or the noise that comes with it because land next door is Sandollar.
Management team excellent , and responsive. Great experience.

Our host was always very sunny and pleasant and informative

This was first our stay at Terramar and we stayed for 5 nights with our 2 teen age sons.

The location is great- walking distance to shopping, dining, water taxi to Klein, grocery store, etc.
What we loved the most is the beautiful decor of the apartment from the dinning room furniture and chairs which were very comfortable. The very clean- beds, pillows and linens were also nice quality making for great sleeping. There were Plenty of bath and wash towels in the bathrooms. Kitchen was fairly well equipped. A/C units in each bedroom as well as living quarters enable us to only use when/where needed. The balcony doors open completely to the living area making for a very large usable space with an absolute gorgeous view of the water. As far as entertainment, the TV's were equipped with various viewing apps and we had a Bose speaker to listen to our music. Our host was always very sunny and pleasant and informative. Read more

Worst place to stay 👎👎👎

The building is located next to a diving shop. Noise starting 6 in morning until night, loading metal tanks. There's restaurant in the building, drunk middle aged women and man going to the bathroom in the evening. Each studio has badly designed heavy steel doors, they make terrible noise when closed, it's shakes the entire building. It was nightmare and waisted money. Read more

Well maintained, clean and accurately portrayed

We had a wonderful time in Bonaire and at the property! It is well maintained, clean and accurately portrayed. For us a three generation family it was perfect. The pool was great fun. Also, it was very convenient for the divers to be able to rinse and hang the gear to dry. We had a wonderful holiday and this property was large part of that. Read more

Dive from the house without using a truck

Beach House Sea you soon was perfect for our first experience in Bonaire. House was accurately depicted by description and photographs. Not only was the house perfect for our needs (we primarily rented a truck and dived), but accessibility to town and dive shop was perfect. We could walk for dive instruction for those of us who weren't certified. We could dive from the house without using the truck. The street was quiet, and the walk to town was easy and enjoyable. Just far enough from town to walk, but far enough away to suit our needs. Read more

A very pleasant stay

We had a very pleasant stay at Casa Hummingbird in Nov '21. Debby, one of the hosts, awaited us at the airport and brought us to the house, where she provided us with plenty of information about the island and things to see and do. The house itself was very nice and well-equipped. The only thing we missed was a hairdryer, but Elyse, another host of Sunwise Bonaire, was so kind as to get one for us. The pool was great, our kids enjoyed pretty much every single day :-)
We also loved the big shaded terrace at the back of the house, overlooking the garden and pool. However, be careful on the terrace tiles, they can be very slippery on wet feet.
The location is also excellent, in a calm and modern neighbourhood, very nearby some beautiful beaches as Donkey Beach and Te Amo Beach. A car is necessary though.
If we ever visit Bonaire again, I'm quite sure we'll find ourselves an accommodation with Sunwise Bonaire again. Read more
